Childhood and youth
Marina was born in Perm in August 1971. The actress’s mother is Mordovian by nationality, and her father is Ukrainian, but the surname he gave to his daughter has Bulgarian-Gypsy roots. The girl grew up in Ukraine, where her parents sent her, believing that the climate in the village would be much healthier than in the city.
