Married, workaholic and C student: interesting facts from the biography of Dmitry Nagiyev

C student "physical teacher"

Faktrum writes that despite his role as an athletic and brutal athlete, Nagiyev was never particularly successful in physical education at the school where he studied. His constant grade in this discipline was a solid “C”. He did not like to pass standards, compete in relay races and spend time on the sports field. However, in his youth, Nagiyev still achieved success in sambo, but this was only because the achievements were conscious and not forced.

Foma is hard for me

— The third season of the series “Fizruk” has aired. Are you tired of the main character Thomas yet?

- I have something to compare with. And “Fizruk” is the most difficult story for me in terms of emotional content. The scenario is eventful. Every day I returned from shooting like a squeezed lemon. Because all the troubles and experiences of the main character are on the verge of the limit. Foma is hard for me.

— Vocabulary, speech patterns, jokes – yours or the script’s?

— The result of the script is an event outline. Thomas's style, jargon and vocabulary - I will allow myself to take all the credit for this. Failures too.

— Did angry characters similar to Thomas meet you on the street?

— I haven’t heard any overtly negative reviews. Whether you like it or not is one thing. But there is no point in arguing that this project was shot well and honestly.

— What were your feelings after “Roasting” on First? It somehow came out as a compliment.

“Everyone who called me before this program heard: “If you agree, then don’t be afraid of anything. If you’re afraid to say something, don’t agree.” I think it was quite good for the first program. And the leadership of the First acted wisely by making the program monthly. This should be the icing on the cake. How to work further? Sharper, deeper and tougher. I am glad that Konstantin Lvovich Ernst invited me to head Prozharka. I'll try to take the helm and not screw myself up.

— Any other ideas on how to stir up the swamp of Russian TV? 20 years ago you hosted a program on Radio Modern from an open glass studio. Maybe some more mischief?

— I was recently offered to sit on the air of one of the radio stations. I asked, “Why do I need a weekly program? Let me sit with you for a week! Nonstop. First, let's set a record. Secondly, it's interesting and funny. Thirdly, there is shock therapy for the listeners.” Now they think. They are afraid that the equipment will not hold up.

The covers of our magazine are always open to Dmitry. This was the case in the comedy “The Best Day.” Still from the film

- “Fizruk”, “Roasting”, “Two Fathers and Two Sons”, “The Best Day”, “Kitchen”, “Voice” - it seems that right now you are at the peak of your form. Is this what you were aiming for?

“I would, as they say, pour witchcraft into the crystal darkness of a glass and try myself in a serious role.” Although I’m not one of those who consider the entertainment genre to be easy and superficial. It's a tough job, and not everyone can be consistent, logical, and talented in the entertainment industry. So I wouldn't mind taking on a deep role. But that’s not bad either. Let it go.

— Do you have any competitors today? Ivan Urgant, for example.

— Vanya is a competitor for everyone. One of the best presenters. We don’t work with him that often, but we look organic together. As for the rest... I don’t perceive anyone as a competitor. I try to learn and grow.

Nagiyev was married

For some reason, most viewers agree that Dmitry is an inveterate bachelor, a walker popular with women, and a ladies' man. However, in fact, contrary to popular belief, Nagiyev was married for 18 years to a radio presenter from St. Petersburg, who, by the way, wrote a book about her husband and their married life. In addition, the couple has a son, whom they named Kirill. True, a year after the birth of his son, Nagiyev had a daughter, but from another woman.

Consequences of paresis

The disease was almost completely defeated, but is still making itself felt. Nagiyev occasionally talks about its consequences in interviews. The fact is that he admitted the fact of paresis relatively recently, 10 years ago. And for another 20 years he was constantly silent about the incident in front of journalists. Constant cliches pushed him into a frank conversation with one of the media representatives. “A sarcastic grin” - this wording infuriated the actor, who hated cliches, so he revealed the story of his illness to the journalists of the Antenna publication.

The most striking side effect of paresis is facial asymmetry. In cinema and theater this defect is almost invisible, but in static photos you can see the difference. However, this does not spoil Nagiyev. All people by nature have an asymmetrical face, but with the Russian actor it only stands out more.

The paralysis also influenced the actor's image by forcing him to often wear dark glasses. Partly, Nagiyev chose them because of the brutal image that has become a signature in recent years. But the main thing for which he needs tinted lenses is to hide the paresis when it makes itself felt again. After long hours on the set, the muscles stop working and the performer's left eye closes. Sunglasses do a great job of hiding this from the viewer. There are also very minor consequences - now Dmitry cannot whistle, his lips do not obey him well. But otherwise the diagnosis does not make itself felt, so the actor’s career is going uphill.

It is especially difficult to experience defeats in the adult Voice

— Heartbreaking fights continue on the children's “Voice.” Every week 12 people are eliminated. As the host of “The Voice.Children,” is “The Voice” more difficult for you emotionally?

- No. A child’s “Voice” is more sincere than an adult, and I am a fairly sincere person. Children do not lie and do not try to behave in a way to please me or their teachers. They behave as nature intended them to. Therefore, when I am not far from the animal, I easily adapt to them. As for the emotional state, it’s enough for me to simply find a common language with the children. Of course, tears can be knocked out of me easier and faster. But, since on the children's “Voice” you don’t need to spread your tail and look around at women’s legs, I’m like water off a duck’s back.

— Would you send your little child to such a project?

— I would pray that my little children, if God sends them (Dmitry’s son Kirill is 26 years old. - Ed.), would not choose creative professions at all. But if that happens, I would send it. But he immediately explained: “This is a competition, anything can happen. For me you are the best, but that doesn’t mean you will be the best for everyone.” It’s not easy to explain this, but I would try.

— In your youth, you practiced sambo—you even won the USSR championship among juniors in this type of wrestling. Did you burn out during competitions?

— I hate contests and competitions. Maybe that's why I'm nervous and my eye and the hair on my left leg are twitching. These competitions hit hard on my then unformed psyche.

— Your son auditioned as a co-host for the first “Voice.” It didn't work out. Now he works as a DJ, just like you did in your time, plus he hosts programs. Is he happy with this path?

— For now, he has the opportunity to work on one of the best youth channels (he hosts the project “Revizorro-show” on “Friday.” - Ed.), travel and get paid for it (Kirill also started filming a travel show with the working title “Holiday” every day,” on which channel it will air is still unknown. - Ed.), this is his path. Maybe the acting path and vegetating on film sets are not his path.

Nagiyev is a victim of fashion

Throughout his career, the actor often experimented with his appearance, changing almost beyond recognition: either he had long curly hair, or medium-length hair, or a brutal bald head. But all this is not his personal preferences, but the recommendations of stylists. It is thanks to their efforts that Dmitry’s image always looks equally stylish. Now the actor sticks to a casual style, but it certainly suits him.

In his prime

  • Has a youth rank in Greco-Roman wrestling. In the eighth grade, Sergei was the strongest boy and stood up for his classmates, especially the girls. But it was wrestling (injuries) that slowed down the actor’s growth.
  • At the age of 15, he began to earn his first money: for 60 rubles. per month I washed the stairs in the entrance of a house on the corner of Nevsky and Rubinstein Street.
  • He served for two years in a motor battalion, driving a heavy truck.
  • He entered the acting department at the Leningrad Theater Institute, but quickly transferred to the directing department - “because of the rudeness of the teachers.” The teachers constantly told Sergei that with his appearance he would not be able to play anyone.

blanket relationship

While working at the St. Petersburg Radio Modern, girls watched Rost at the entrance and threatened to commit suicide if he did not sleep with them. And one day, when Sergei was filming, a 16-year-old nymphet showed up at his house.

— The guest lied to my mother that she was expecting a child from me and that I wanted to marry her. Since the girl was a newcomer, my kind mother let her spend the night. Then I called home and everything became clear. So when I returned, I no longer encountered the “bride”...

Another time, Rost bought himself. And he left the young lady in his apartment, believing that her parents had died, and that her evil guardians were persecuting and beating her, wanting to take possession of the inheritance. As a result, after a couple of months the girl disappeared, taking the tape recorder with her.

Until the age of 45, he was single.

— One of my girlfriends went to live in America, the other got married. And the third one left me right at the Italian resort. She liked another man. Probably, as a child, I read too many beautiful novels, watched a lot of films about love,” Sergei notes sadly. “Since then, I have always wanted everything in life to be just as beautiful.” To jump from a bridge, fight with swords, write poetry! But in reality, love novels are not at all like books and movies... Every time you think: “No, this is not the same love!” - and you start looking for something brighter.

The affair with journalist Olga developed rapidly. As soon as she interviewed the artist, he bombarded her with intimate text messages. In March 2011, their daughter Alice was born. The wedding took place afterwards.

Counting money

  • For one enterprise performance he receives 30-40 thousand rubles.
  • A shooting day costs the same.
  • Has a share in the strip club "Barsuk" in Kazan.
  • Ordering Rost as a host for a holiday will cost no less than 250 thousand rubles.
  • For two years he has been working closely with the St. Petersburg flower boutique Newflora of full-size roses, for which he receives a good fee. Which one is a company secret.

Terrible diagnosis

One morning Dmitry woke up, washed his face and sat down to breakfast. The day before, as usual, I went to bed late, did not get enough sleep, and therefore in the morning I did everything automatically, with my eyes half-closed. When I started eating, I noticed that something was wrong with my mouth: my lips didn’t work well, chewing was uncomfortable, for some reason the porridge fell out of my mouth... It seemed strange, but didn’t alarm me: anything happens, it will probably pass soon. Nagiyev got dressed and went to the institute.

Hurrying to the classroom, Dmitry nevertheless noticed that the students crowded in the corridor were looking at him strangely. I flew in, a few seconds late, and heard:

- Darling, what’s wrong with your face?

Only at that moment did he realize that he could hardly feel his face, could not smile, and when he began to speak, he had to make incredible efforts to make articulate sounds. He was taken away from the institute by ambulance. The diagnosis shocked and frightened me: facial paralysis. He was examined, prescribed treatment and told to be patient. This kind of illness will not go away in a couple of days.

- When will I get better? – Dmitry asked the doctors and nurses.

They just shrugged their shoulders. No one could give an accurate prognosis, as well as name the cause that led to paralysis.

– But will it pass? Is it curable? – And there was no answer to this question. In some cases, treatment helps, but it also happens that a person remains disabled forever.

Dmitry was afraid to approach the mirror: what he saw there plunged him into despair. Half of the face was simply hanging like an old rag: the corner of the mouth was drooping, the eye was half-closed, the cheek was slumped, even the nose seemed to be skewed to one side. But the most frightening thing was that the muscles did not obey him, the face did not express any emotions, it became a motionless, creepy mask. A more terrible fate for an actor cannot be imagined.

In addition to acting, Nagiyev directs films

In fact, few people know, but among other things, Dmitry is also a director, and a good one at that. For example, the comedy “Camera, Motor” became a cult show in which Nagiyev became both an actor and a director. The picture was truly enchanting and was popular among the audience.
