Oblomov,” “The Barber of Siberia” and “The Inspector General.”

Having received a high-quality acting education, Alexander Efimov goes to work at the theater on Malaya Bronnaya.

And after filming the thriller “Cherub”, he became completely famous and proved to everyone that he is a talented and multifaceted actor who realistically conveys the characteristics of his characters. Film Actor Theater

In the late 2000s, Alexander Efimov changed his place of work and moved to the State Drama Theater of Film Actors. It is also located in Moscow, on Povarskaya Street, in the former House of Political Prisoners, built in the 30s of the 20th century.

This theater was organized in the capital during the Great Patriotic War. At first it functioned as a film actor's studio. His main goal was to provide temporary work for professional artists when they were not busy filming their next films. This was especially true in the period from 1943 to 1945, when a special term even appeared - “little picture”.

As a result, the studio took root so well that over time it turned into a separate theater with its own audience and original repertoire. Alexander Efremov plays here to this day.

Only two loves - theater and wife: How will actor Efim Kamenetsky be remembered?

Theater and film actor, People's Artist of Russia Efim Kamenetsky died in St. Petersburg at the age of 86. 5-tv.ru decided to find out how the artist will be remembered by millions of viewers and theater fans.

Failed teacher-historian

Most of the life and creative work of People's Artist of the Russian Federation Efim Kamenetsky was spent in the city on the Neva, in the Lensoviet and Komissarzhevskaya theaters, where he served in total for more than 50 years.

However, Kamenetsky acquired his first acting experience in Penza, where, while studying at the Faculty of History and Philology of the Pedagogical Institute, he simultaneously studied at the theater studio at the regional theater.

Kamenetsky’s successes in the acting profession and the desire to devote his life to it were so great that after graduating from the studio, without a diploma in theater education, he was invited to work at the Kazan Youth Theater, and three years later - at the Big Drama Theater named after Kachalov, located there in Kazan.

After five years at the Kazan Bolshoi Drama Theater, Kamenetsky briefly served at the Riga Russian Drama Theater. There the actor made a fateful acquaintance with the director of the Lensovet Theater Igor Vladimirov, who invited the actor to Leningrad.

"Golden" age of the Lensoviet theater

Kamenetsky worked at the Lensovet Theater for almost twenty years, and these years became some of the best in his creative biography. He served in the theater in the “golden” times, when the legendary acting ensemble shone on its stage: Alisa Freindlikh, Alexey Petrenko, Anatoly Ravikovich, Mikhail Boyarsky. Next to such partners, under the guidance of an outstanding director, the talent of Efim Kamenetsky revealed itself in full force.

He was involved in performances based on the plays by Ignat Dvoretsky “A Man from the Outside”, “Kovalyov from the Province”, “The Last Father”, in the production of Alexander Gelman’s play “Alone with Everyone”, and Porfiry Petrovich from “Crime and Punishment” performed by Kamenetsky theatergoers still remember.

"Bright head"

Still from the movie “Memory,” 1975.

The actor came to the Komissarzhevskaya Theater in 1987, already being a mature, accomplished master. Kamenetsky appeared on the stage of this theater for almost 33 years, playing many roles, each of which became an event not only in his personal creative biography, but also in the cultural life of the city. Among them are Belsky from The Death of Ivan the Terrible, Thalberg from Days of the Turbines, Varenne from Robespierre, Pancrass from Crazy Jourdain. Critics highly praised Kamenetsky’s performance as the Doctor in “Andorra” by Max Frisch, and Yaguzhinsky in “The Jester Balakirev” by Grigory Gorin.

Kamenetsky was considered a universal actor, excellent at the art of detachment, as well as possessing an unobtrusive sense of humor and artistic tact.

“He plays just fantastic! He has a clear, bright head, he is a wonderful actor, and has a very emotional impact. A touching, reverent, attentive partner. He’s a thoughtful actor who understands what he’s talking about,” Honored Artist of Russia Olga Belyavskaya said about Kamenetsky.

Talented in everything

In addition to his acting talent, Efim Kamenetsky had a keen sense of literary material, which allowed him to act as the author of dramatizations. In particular, he wrote a dramatization based on Dostoevsky’s novel “Crime and Punishment” for one of the London theaters, and in the theater’s play “Beyond the Black River” - “The Love and Wanderings of Ensign Grinev” he acted as an actor, author of the dramatization and co-director.

Thanks to the rare coloring of his voice and confidential intonation, the actor became in demand as a voice-over announcer, participated in radio shows and narrated documentaries.

Many also remembered Kamenetsky in his work on television - in teleplays, where he starred with such outstanding actors as Bogdan Stupka, Oleg Dal, Oleg Borisov, Natalya Tenyakova, Efim Kopelyan, Alexander Demyanenko.

One love for life

Still from the film “Two Tickets for an Afternoon Show”, 1967.

The actor met his wife, Honored Artist of the RSFSR Galina Nikulina, back in Kazan, where she studied at the theater school and then served with him in the Kachalov Bolshoi Drama Theater.

Having moved with her husband to Leningrad, Galina Ilyinichna also entered the Lensovet Theater, where she worked until the early 1990s. Having stopped going on stage, she became a teacher of stage speech at the KADR studio school at the Lenfilm film studio. In February 2020, Galina Nikulina died at the age of 74.

As 5-tv.ru previously reported, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Efim Kamenetsky died at the age of 85 in St. Petersburg. This was reported at the Vera Komissarzhevskaya Drama Theater. The cause of death has not yet been announced. The date of farewell and the place of the funeral will be announced later.

Film debut

Efimov first appeared on the big screen in 2000 in the film “In August '44.” He played the role of Sergei, a radio operator of a group of saboteurs with the rank of lieutenant. The events of the film take place on the territory of liberated Belarus. The heroes are trying to identify spies operating behind the lines of the Soviet army. The task of finding saboteurs is entrusted to three counterintelligence officers who serve in SMERSH. They are led by Captain Pavel Alekhine, played by Evgeny Mironov. It was then that Alexander Efimov met this actor, whose filmography, whose biography began with the indicated picture. Another amazing fact is connected with it. In the dormitory of the Moscow Art Theater School, Efimov lived in the same room as Mironov did when he was a student.

Evgeniy Vitalievich played a key role in the participation of the young actor in the filming. First, he noticed and appreciated his talent, then suggested the film’s director Mikhail Ptashuk for the role of one of the young officers, and then also persuaded the head of the studio, Oleg Tabakov, to let Efimov go to filming.

Handsome Alexander Efimov and his personal life

Alexander Efimov is a famous Russian film actor who became famous for his roles in the TV series “Adjutants of Love” and “Two Fates.” For many, Alexander’s fate remains a mystery, but now we will tell you a lot of interesting things about the excellent artist.

Alexander was born in 1980 in Sverdlovsk (present-day Yekaterinburg). His father left the family when Sasha was only 2 years old. Mom raised Sasha alone until she got married again.

Efimov was very intense as a child. His interests included hockey and athletics. Despite his interest in sports, Alexander received good grades at school, however, every time he had comments about his own behavior. So, in the 10th grade he was expelled from school and a problem arose in continuing his studies. Not a single educational institution was willing to accept the bully.

The artist admitted that the fact that he ended up in a secondary school with a theatrical focus undoubtedly helped him change. The school undoubtedly helped Alexander. He stopped spending time in strange companies and became more interested in theatrical art. After receiving his diploma, Efimov set off to conquer the Capital. In the city of Moscow, his fate was favorable - Alexander was enrolled in the Moscow Art Theater School without any problems.

During the entrance exams, Alexander decided to amaze the teachers. As soon as he entered the building, he immediately clicked “Undress” and only then continued to recite a fragment from “notes of a young doctor” written by Misha Bulgakov. A similar rudeness produced emotion among the teachers.

When Efimov completed his studies, he immediately began working at the Theater on Malaya Bronnaya, and then moved to Oleg Tabakov.

The actor had a chance to get into a big movie during the filming of “In August 1944,” where he was given the role of a radio operator for saboteurs. At this time, the artist was lucky to perform alongside Vladislav Galkin and Evgeny Mironov. Subsequently, the artist was noticed to have a large number of services - he played in the television series “Turkish March” and in the military drama “Star”. However, his shooting in the TV series “Two Fates” brought him all-Russian popularity. The film became so famous that a sequel was filmed. Subsequently, Alexander was practically bombarded with offers from directors. He landed roles in many popular films.

Thanks to his good looks, the artist was famous among the ladies. However, he married once and was not found cheating on his own wife. The artist does not prefer to show details of his own life. Therefore, all that is known is that his wife was one of his fans, who has nothing to do with show business. The couple has no children at this time.

At the moment, the artist occasionally films. Apparently, the best years of his career have been spent, and he has no desire to act in second-rate films. Alexander loves to perform on the stage of the theater, and in his free time to travel with his wife to various countries.

Personal life

Fans of creativity are traditionally interested in what Alexander Efimov is like in everyday life. The actor and his wife try not to appear in public. Efimov does not allow journalists and bloggers into private territory. In this sense, he is the most closed person possible. It is extremely difficult to get him to talk about private topics in a conversation.

Alexander Efimov (actor) and his wife, whose photos are rarely seen on the pages of tabloids, do not advertise their lives. Very few details are known. Over the entire period of the film’s popularity, journalists managed to find out only a few things. Alexander Efimov (actor) and his wife Taisiya live in Moscow. They have been married for several years. And, most importantly, happy. At least, Alexander Efimov himself, the actor, has repeatedly stated this. His personal life is closed from prying eyes. The fact that Taisiya has nothing to do with either the world of cinema or the world of show business also helps maintain the veil of secrecy. The woman carefully runs the household.

Her husband’s hobbies in his free time are varied, but have remained virtually unchanged since his student years. Since his youth, Alexander Efimov has been advocating a healthy and active lifestyle. His personal life is devoted to various sports - hockey, football, diving. He regularly plays for the Serial amateur football team. Another passion of his is traveling and photographing landmarks.

"Two Fates"

Soon after the first success on the big screen, another tempting offer followed - to play the main character, Mikhail Yusupov, in the television melodrama “Two Fates”.

The actor himself admits that at that time he did not yet fully control his body; his coordination of movements was not sufficiently developed. Therefore, only the help of director Vladimir Krasnopolsky helped him complete his work with dignity.

The role itself was not easy. Alexander Efimov, whose filmography began with a war film, again appeared on the screen in a similar image. This time he portrayed a man who had been in captivity in Afghanistan.

Filming of the film “Two Fates”

In 2002, Alexander Efimov plays Mikhail Yusupov in the film “Two Fates”. The film directed by Valery Uskov and Vladimir Krasnopolsky tells about two friends who came from the village to the capital. Vera and Lida have long been rivals in their souls, and they look at life differently.

Vera is a simple girl who wants to achieve something in this life, but only to achieve it fairly and honestly. It’s a completely different matter for Lida, who dreams of finding a profitable match for herself and for the sake of the capital’s groom, she is ready to deceive even her friend. For her own benefit, she is ready to sacrifice the happiness of her friends and even dishonor her.

But life eventually puts everything in its place, and Vera returns her loved one, and Lida is left with nothing, but still does not calm down.

Success on the big screen

Having already become a prominent actor, Alexander Efimov (actor) receives more and more interesting offers. Personal life, wife, children - all this interests the growing army of fans.

After the success of the series “Two Fates”, he plays Lieutenant Patyshev in the historical series “Bayazet” by Valentin Pikul, an officer of the Russian Navy in the military drama “72 Meters” by Vladimir Khotinenko, Alexander I in the historical melodramatic series “Adjutants of Love”.

In general, he often plays in TV series. In 2005, he managed to portray two completely opposite images at once in the serial film “Cherub”. One of them is Major of the Federal Security Service Sergei Loginov, and the second is a coward, a lazy man and a mama's boy Stas Gerasimov.

Certain difficulties in the work were added by the fact that in order to embody one of the characters it was constantly necessary to apply complex makeup. It was after this series that people started talking about Efimov as a new Russian star. In the next few years, he played roles in the films “Turkish March”, “Dead. Alive. Dangerous, Star of the Epoch.

"Mirror Wars"

At the same time, many viewers still remember Efimov not for his roles in melodramas and war films. One of the most striking characters he created was test pilot Alexey Kedrov Jr. in Vasily Chiginsky’s action film “Mirror Wars: The First Reflection.”

At the center of the story are the designers of the domestic aviation corporation Sukhoi. They have been developing a unique, modern type of multi-role bomber for many years. Its code name is “Su-XX”. International terrorist groups and American intelligence agencies are beginning to hunt for the unique development.

It is worth noting that despite the good performance of the actors, the film failed at the box office. As the title suggests, the film was originally intended to be a two-part film. However, after the failure of the first project, the project was finally frozen.

Mirror Wars grossed less than two million dollars in theaters, despite the film's budget being approximately five times that amount. Sharply negative reviews from film critics added fuel to the fire. They noted that once again Russian producers failed to make a film based on the Hollywood model. Some even considered this film anti-Russian.

Efimov’s failure did not break him; he continued to actively act in domestic films. Among his latest works are Shepilov in Pavel Sanaev’s drama “Kilometer Zero”, Oleg in Sergei Lyalin’s New Year’s comedy “Love Story, or New Year’s Prank”, Anton Rozhkov in Evgeniy Nevsky’s detective action film “Rules of Stealing”, Denis Pavlov in the dramedy of Sergei Arlanov and Karen Zakharov "News".
