“Being an actor at the Youth Theater was natural: he studied at the theater in Kazan. We had a directing course; we didn’t hire actors then. I always wanted to act. Subsequently, I became the only one who worked as an actor in the theater - I was invited to the Youth Theater. It wasn’t a difficult time then - there was no director in the theater, there was some kind of chaos. I didn’t have a good relationship with the troupe leader - some incomprehensible complaints began. I had to play bunnies and snags – that’s good, but I wanted something more. Therefore, I met the guys from St. Petersburg and went there, becoming a ballet dancer. After working, he returned to Kazan and spent the next few years in show business,” recalls Adaev.

Stuntman

Since 2007, Konstantin Georgievich has been a stunt performer and director of hand-to-hand fights for the Russian Stuntmen Association. The same year he made his screen debut as a stuntman in the film “Morozov”.

Then he worked in such films as: “We are from the future-2”, “Redhead”, “I am a bodyguard”, “Countergame”, “Brest Fortress”, “Black Wolves” and others.

“When I started working as a stuntman, I said: “Guys, I will do what I feel. I don’t want to experiment and prove something to anyone on the court.” Still, there is some kind of instinct of self-preservation and a line that you understand due to your training. I don’t like heights, and I won’t fall like a “seed” from the 30th floor - let people who feel comfortable doing it do it. There were different stunts - being hit by a car, flying down the stairs, turning over on a bus, and working on explosions. The most important thing is not to rush anywhere and not to prove anything to anyone: then everything will work out professionally, safely and effectively,” says Adaev.

Interview

About the roles

“Hamlet is still more theatrical, and I’m not quite “in the subject.” I like how Vysotsky and many others did it. But personally, real life is closer to me: I want to look for something in it, to understand. I am not theatrical, but cinematic: I need more action than words. To be fair, despite so many scumbags I played, there were also positive characters. In “The Third Duel” I have the main role of a coach, in “Wings” I am a good guy - together with Leonid Yarmolnik we catch vampires...

In fact, no one is difficult to play. It's more interesting to play bad characters. They tell me that in life I am good and kind. Therefore, when working on a negative image, it is interesting to discover other facets of some vile scum in yourself. Playing good guys is also quite interesting. The main thing is what you get out of yourself, how you experience it. When you have a goal, you always justify yourself - whether you are a bastard or a good guy.

A role is a role, even if it’s tiny: you need to come in with something and leave the frame with something. I always read the entire script and work with full dedication, regardless of whether it’s an episode or a leading role.”

About colleagues

“I became friends with many actors. Mikhail Porechenkov and I are very friendly - he is a passionate sportsman, a passionate actor who loves action scenes and is a great film connoisseur. There is always something to talk about with Igor Petrenko, Lesha Kravchenko, Andrey Merzlikin. It was a pleasure to work together with Kostya Yushkevich; after meeting, Sergei Astakhov pleasantly surprised me with his enthusiasm. Sergei Garmash is a wonderful actor, despite the fact that he is somewhat older than the others, in terms of plasticity and rhythm, he plays out his elements completely. In general, when communicating with actors, I noticed that many are trying to grow physically in order to play in dynamic, spectacular scenes themselves, and not look for an understudy.”

Way to success

“I can’t say that the path was difficult. Any success is the equivalent of believing in yourself and knowing specifically what you want with all your heart. Even a year of work in the gym upon arrival in Moscow was not in vain. The spiral goes up. Get out of your “comfort zone,” do something you’ve never done, and don’t doubt yourself even in small endeavors. In addition, I am not lying and openly say that income from work is very inspiring... In addition, I love work, and even if not so quickly, I am moving towards the goal.”

About the homeland

“It all depends on the work, but I come 4-5 times a year. I like being here, I really love Zelenodolsk and Kazan. Here are family and friends, memory and the energy with which it all began. Zelenodolsk for me is a place of inspiration and relaxation: here I gain strength and get back to work.”
