- Certainly. But I can forgive my daughter everything. I'm not a strict dad. I remember one incident in which it was not Sasha’s fault, but I will never forget it. 2001, Tatyana Navka and I were living in New York at that time. We had to leave the city on business, and Sashenka stayed at home with the nanny. And then an emergency occurred: two famous twin towers were blown up in New York. And we lived not far from there. We rushed to call - no one answered. As it turned out, neighboring houses were also damaged by explosions. There is no connection, Tatyana is crying, and I don’t know how to help. I've been on my nerves for two days. It was scary.
— How are you coping with the prolonged self-isolation regime?
- With difficulties. But my family and I are still lucky. Just before the New Year we moved to a new country house in the Moscow region. We have a fenced area, I can breathe fresh air and ride a bike around the village. I pedal so as not to gain excess weight. At least some kind of training. I go to the store by car to buy groceries.

At the age of 15, the girl began taking vocal, choreography and piano lessons.
Already at the first lesson, the teacher highly appreciated Sasha’s vocal abilities and advised her to continue studying. At Navka’s wedding with presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov, which took place in Sochi in August 2021, she performed for the newlyweds the song “I will dance,” written for the young singer by Sergei Revtov and Arseniy Ardeleanu. — Are you already thinking about next season's programs?
— Usually by May 15 I have everything ready. But now the situation is different. We decided to leave the short program the same. The guys weren’t able to show it at the World Championships. - I must have an incentive. Then I understand why I work. And now the Figure Skating Federation does not give us any guidelines. And you can understand it. If even one skater on the national team gets infected, that’s it. His sports career will go downhill. Therefore, the federation is blowing water. It seems to me that we skaters will emerge from quarantine gradually.
— Will the World Championship take place this year?
- Not sure. Look, people no longer notice that oil prices have plummeted to an all-time low. People now have other concerns - how to survive. Previously, people died from the flu, tuberculosis, and stroke, but the worst thing was the coronavirus. Even the young ones are mowed down. Americans say it was invented in China, and the Chinese blame scientists from the United States. I have a feeling that not all doctors know how to fight this virus.

Withdraw all claims and allow our athletes to participate in the Olympic Games under the Russian flag. Of course, only those who did not break the rules.
