Young people listen to the same songs that were written in the early 2000s. As one of the professional critics put it, at this time Kirill wrote what was close to the young people of that time. Almost 20 years have passed since then, but the tastes of young people have not changed. But few even of his most devoted fans understand the artist’s new songs.
The latest album, released in 2021, featured songs about fellow rappers. The man says in his songs that few rappers bring good to the masses. He encourages listeners to distinguish such artists and ignore their work.
Music
Tolmatsky Jr. got dreadlocks and learned to breakdance. At the breakdancing school, the young man also met another future famous rapper, Timati, but a strong friendship did not develop between the musicians. Soon, with the support of his father, the son recorded his first rap song, “Friday,” with which he debuted at the Adidas Street Ball Challenge youth festival. A crowd of thousands warmly welcomed the unusual and bright performer.
Decl - “Party”
In 1999, Decl’s face - such a creative pseudonym was invented by the guy - appeared on the cover of the PTYUCH publication. From that moment on, real hysteria began around the musician’s name. This album is called the most scandalous in the artist’s creative biography. The songs included in the album touch on international issues and concern people from different classes and walks of life. Moreover, the rapper wrote most of the songs himself. The disc was produced by Sheff and Legalize.
Decl - “Blood, my blood”
The song “Letter”, released on this disc, received the prestigious Golden Gramophone music award in 2001. This was the peak of popularity. But then there was a decline. This happened after a disagreement with his father, who all this time supported his son on a wave of success.

In 2004, the musician released his new disc, called “Detsla.ka Le Truk”. Some songs became hits, but the former popularity was no longer there. The idea of switching to a new stage name was also not successful.
The most popular and scandalous composition was the song “Legalize”. But the scandalous overtones, along with the attention it attracted, prevented the composition from achieving success in rotation. The animated video for this song was completely banned from showing due to its controversial and provocative content.
Decl - “Letter”
In the winter of 2008, Decl’s new album was released, on the cover of which the artist’s name was turned into “Decl”. The album was recorded with musician Beat-Maker-Beat from St. Petersburg and was quite warmly received, although there was no talk of popular love.
The 5th album entitled “Here and Now”, released in 2010, did not improve the situation either. But thanks to the new disc, Kirill performed at the popular “Battle of the Capitals” festival, where before that he only appeared as a jury member.

Despite the fact that a number of songs from the upcoming album had already appeared in rotation, Decl interrupted work on the trilogy and released a separate disc, “Favela Funk EP”.
Rapper Decl
The songs on this disc are presented in a mixed genre: the compositions are endowed with features of rap, funk and even samba and reggae. The compositions that the musician selected for the new disc carry humanistic ideas and also quote the musician’s youth hits.
Decline of Decl's career
2004 marked the beginning of the end of the rapper's career. At that time, Decl’s popularity was at its peak and the young man, having quarreled with his father, decided to set out on his own and build his career on his own.

And even now they call it, regardless of the subculture, although sometimes you wonder how the current school kids know about Decl. Faanaaaaty Detsal!”
