The birth of Muslim Magomayev took place during the Great Patriotic War in Baku. For some time he lived in the center of the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, and was raised by his uncle. And Sinyavskaya herself bears little resemblance to the character shown in the film. Apparently, Tamara Ilyinichna was interested in being shown so beautiful and positive, and everyone else in a negative light.
The actor for the role of Muslim was, in principle, well chosen. But he plays somehow unnaturally. I communicated with Muslim very closely. Even though we lived in different cities, we met quite often. We relaxed together, drank and had fun. They even took a steam bath with him in the bathhouse that he had in his Moscow apartment. And I remember well what he was like, how he behaved in life. He did not have the same gestures and manner of speaking as in the series.

In general, I expected a little more from the film. I hoped that they would show Muslim’s life from an earlier age - how he grew up, how he studied vocals. But the authors crossed out this part of life. There was no place for the person closest to Muslim - our mother Aishet Akhmedovna. Muslim always idolized her. It was from her that the gift of singing was passed on to him. Mom had a luxurious coloratura soprano. When she and I were visiting Muslim and she sang Alyabyev’s , even Sinyavskaya was stunned.
