Yaroslav Aleksandrovich Evdokimov
(born November 22, 1946) - singer (lyric-dramatic baritone), Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, People's Artist of the Belarusian SSR.
Dreamer Beyond the Danube
[edit] Biography
Yaroslav Aleksandrovich Evdokimov was born on November 22, 1946[1] in Rovno, Ukraine,[2] in prison - his mother Anastasia Kharitonovna Ocheretovich was repressed.[3] Father Alexander Ignatievich Evdokimov, originally from the Perm region, Krasnovishersky district, was also repressed.[4]
Yaroslav spent his childhood in the village of Koryst,[5] Koretsky district, Rivne region (Ukrainian SSR). He was raised by his grandfather Khariton and grandmother Yarina Ocheretovich, as well as by his aunt Ganna, his mother’s sister. The grandfather was a highly qualified blacksmith and from an early age he taught his grandson to help his elders: herd collective farm cattle, and later work as a blacksmith’s assistant.
Mom came to her native village in 1955.[6] Anastasia Kharitonovna took her son to Norilsk, where Yaroslav graduated from music school[7] and entered a music school, double bass class. At school, in the creative workshop of Rimma Fedorovna Taraskina, Honored Artist of Russia, he began to study vocals.[8]
He served (1965-1968) in the KSF (Kola Peninsula), in Severomorsk, in the village of Vidyaevo. He was not subject to admission to any warship or submarine, and for all three years Private Evdokimov served in a construction detachment. He was the company singer,[9] the organizer of song creativity among the soldiers.[10]
Having finished his service, he returned to his native village. Later he moved to Dnepropetrovsk, where he got a job at a tire factory and accidentally started singing in a restaurant. There, in Dnepropetrovsk, he met his wife and moved to her homeland in Belarus.[11]
[edit] Period of work in Belarus
In 1975, Yaroslav Evdokimov auditioned for the Minsk Philharmonic,[12] where the “Memory” concert program was being formed, and he, as an exception, was retained - since 1975 he has been a soloist-vocalist of the Minsk Philharmonic.[13] Entered the Minsk Music College named after. M. Glinka.[14][15][16] He combined his musical studies with concert practice: first in the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Belarusian Military District (artistic director Viktor Ivanovich Smyslov,[17] director Lev Borisovich Muranov),[18] (1977-1980),[19][20] and later - as a soloist of the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company of Belarus.[21]
At the Minsk Philharmonic, Yaroslav Aleksandrovich met one of the best specialists in the USSR in the technique of Italian bel canto - baritone, professor of singing Vladimir Nikolaevich Buchel (born 1935).[22],[23] For three years he took lessons from the maestro.[24 ] The performer participated in the III All-Union television competition “With a Song through Life” (1979),[25] which took place in the Ostankino Concert Studio.
In 1980, the artist took part in a government concert, [26] which was attended by the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus, Pyotr Masherov. Former partisan Masherov was captivated by the song “Field of Memory” by Leonid Zakhlevny and Vladimir Neklyaev, which Yaroslav sang soulfully. The shock of the first person in Belarus was so strong that he ordered that Evdokimov be awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Belarusian SSR.[27]
On May 9, 1980, on the Central Television of the State Television and Radio of the USSR and the first program of the All-Union Radio, performed by Yaroslav Evdokimov, a cycle of songs “Memory” (“Memory Field”, “Wear Orders”, “Mercy”, “Victory Song”) was heard, specially written for him. , composer Leonid Zakhlevny.[28]
Especially for Yaroslav Evdokimov, taking into account his vocal capabilities, Valery Ivanov wrote a cycle of ballad songs “Be faithful to your duty.”[29]
Moscow also learned about the talented singer from Minsk. The editor and host of the program “Hello, we are looking for talents” Tatyana Korshilova invited him to her program.[30] The discoverer of young talents Olga Molchanova from Central Television invited Evdokimov to the most popular programs in those years “With a song through life”, “Wider circle” and “Sing, friends!”.[31] The artist’s voice was often heard in All-Union Radio programs.[32]
Yaroslav graduates from the Minsk Music College named after. M. Glinka (1979-1981)[33][34][35] in vocal class, class of Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Belarus Adam Murzich[36],[37],[38] and becomes a soloist of the Belarusian Republican Radio and Television (1980 —1990).[39][40] At the All-Union Festival “Song of the Year-81” he debuted with the song “My Enchanted” (G. Buravkin, I. Luchenok). Included in the anthology of songs about Victory in World War II, “Letter from ’45” (1983, M. Yasen (Goldman), I. Luchenok). The song “May Waltz” (1985, M. Yasen (Goldman), I. Luchenok) was first performed at the festival “Song of the Year-85” and received success.
Yaroslav Evdokimov’s biography also included a tour to Afghanistan (1986) to visit Soviet soldiers, where he performed the song “Snapshot in the Newspaper” (M. Yasen (M. Goldman), I. Luchenok) specially written for this trip.[41]
The result of the artist’s collaboration with composer Eduard Zaritsky is the songs “Palynovaya Rostan” (N. Gilevich), “Calendar Leaf” (N. Shkor), “Month of Infancy” (G. Buravkin), which were included in the concert film “And While on Earth love exists" (1988, director B. Bakhtiyarov).[42] The Ukrainian song “Viyut Vitry” was performed in this film. The song “Alarm of Silence” (D. Mikhleev) was heard in the documentary film “West-83”.[43]
The singer toured abroad - Italy, Greece, Germany, Norway, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Switzerland, Sweden.[44] He represented Belarusian art in the capital of Iceland - Reykjavik and at the International Folklore Festival in Paris, where one of the French newspapers called him a “superbaritone” for his excellent performance of folk songs.[45] In 1986 he visited Holland for concerts. He performed mainly folk songs: the Belarusian “Kamar”, the Ukrainian “Gandzya”. The singer's success exceeded all expectations; he was invited to Sweden and Belgium.[46]
Yaroslav Evdokimov has repeatedly performed at the International Arts Festival “Slavic Bazaar” (Vitebsk, Belarus), and was a member of the International Jury of the International Competition of Young Pop Song Performers “Vitebsk-1993”.[47]
[edit] Creativity in the Russian Federation
A new period in the life of Yaroslav Evdokimov begins in 1996: he moved to Moscow. There are much more opportunities for a singer here than in Minsk.[48]
In 1998, the artist was a guest of the International Festival “Golden Shlyager” (Mogilev, Belarus).[49]
As a result of collaboration with such composers as Alexander Morozov, Boris Emelyanov, Vyacheslav Dobrynin, Igor Mateta, Vyacheslav Malezhik and poets - Anatoly Poperechny, Simon Osiashvili, Larisa Rubalskaya, Victoria Vetrova, new songs appear in the artist’s repertoire, each of which becomes the same recognizable as “Beyond the Danube”.
Since 2009, Yaroslav Evdokimov has been a citizen of the Russian Federation.[50] Performs as a concert performer.
Music
The desire to sing pushed Evdokimov onto the stage. Visitors to a restaurant in Dnepropetrovsk were the first to hear the future People's and Honored Artist.
Yaroslav Evdokimov
After getting married and moving to his wife’s homeland, Belarus, Yaroslav Evdokimov auditioned for the Minsk Philharmonic in the mid-1970s and became a vocalist, and soon a soloist. Touring life was in full swing, but Evdokimov understood that without specialized education he would not advance far.
Became a student at the Music College named after. M. Glinka, combining theory with practice: he studied and performed as a soloist in the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Belarusian Military District. While working at the Minsk Philharmonic, the artist took lessons for 3 years from Vladimir Buchel, a singing professor and famous baritone.
Song by Yaroslav Evdokimov “Under the wide window”
For the first time on screen, viewers saw the stately vocalist in the III All-Union television competition “With a Song through Life,” which took place in the Ostankino concert hall and was broadcast on television. Yaroslav Evdokimov appeared in military uniform, as he represented the Belarusian Military District at the competition.
Victory eluded the performer - the song turned out to be unsuitable for a baritone. But they remembered Evdokimov’s name.

In 1980, the artist participated in a government concert, where he impressed the leader of the Central Committee of the Belarusian Communist Party, Pyotr Masherov. A former partisan, Pyotr Mironovich was so moved when he heard the heartfelt song “Field of Memory” that Evdokimov soon became an Honored Artist of the BSSR.
The cycle of songs “Memory” to the music of the Belarusian composer Leonid Zakhlevny became an important milestone in the artist’s creative biography. The cycle was broadcast on central television on Victory Day 1980.
Song by Yaroslav Evdokimov “May Waltz”
The editor of the “Hello, we are looking for talents” program Tatyana Korshilova invited the “Belarusian nightingale” to her program. Colleagues followed Korshilova’s example, and viewers saw the singer on the air of the popular programs “With a Song Through Life,” “Wider Circle” and “Sing, Friends!” In the 1980s, viewers saw Evdokimov at the festival concerts “Songs of the Year”, where he performed his favorite hits “My Enchanted”, “May Waltz”, “Beyond the Danube”.
The vocalist recorded his first album at the Melodiya studio, calling it “Everything Will Come True.” Went on tour abroad. At folk festivals in Reykjavik and Paris, enthusiastic critics called his voice “superbaritone.” Evdokimov also performed at the Slavic Bazaar.
Singer Yaroslav Evdokimov
The album “Don’t Tear Your Shirt” was released in 1994. Compositions written in collaboration with Eduard Zaritsky, Dmitry Smolsky, Igor Luchenok became hits.
A new stage in the artist’s life began in the mid-1990s. Yaroslav Evdokimov moved to the Russian capital and became the soloist of Mosestrada. Joint creativity with Anatoly Poperechny and Alexander Morozov yielded wonderful results: the singer’s fans received the hits “Fantaser” and “Kalina Kush”.
Song by Yaroslav Evdokimov “Dreamer”
The vocalist collaborated with Vyacheslav Dobrynin, Igor Mateta, Vyacheslav Malezhik. The lyrics for it were written by Simon Osiashvili and Larisa Rubalskaya.
In 2002, the album “I Kiss Your Palm” was released, which included the hits “Well” and “May Waltz”, and in 2008, Evdokimov and the duet “Sweet Yagoda” recorded a joint album, which included the Cossack song “Under the Wide Window” .
In 2012, the studio album “Return to Autumn” was released.
[edit] Creative characteristics
The secret of the listener's inexhaustible and boundless love is actually simple, but accessible only to talented people. This secret is known to Yaroslav Evdokimov. The artist’s merit is the preservation of song traditions, which are interesting for their melodic lines and verses.
[edit] Style
Yaroslav Evdokimov has established himself as a demanding and trouble-free artist who has extraordinary will and creative activity. The singer is characterized by modesty, intelligence, good taste, attractiveness, high musical culture, extraordinary artistry, passion, and sincerity.
Yaroslav Evdokimov has a good command of stagecraft and stage culture. He is restrained, static on stage, does not express his emotions, but tries to convey the song to the listeners using meager but precise means. The skill of acting - the ability to create a whole musical picture with the help of a song, a complete artistic image - is one of the characteristic features of the singer. Evdokimov has a high natural power of acting influence, and achieves this purely through vocal means, without resorting to other special forms of presenting stage effects.
[edit] Voice
Yaroslav Evdokimov has a strong, soulful voice with a wide range. Sings simply and naturally. Managed to achieve flexibility and purity of voice in all registers. His voice is a lyrical-dramatic baritone, with a special light coloring; timbre resembles a rare type of voice - a Martin baritone (tenor baritone), but at the same time covers more than two octaves (at the bottom “F-G” of the large octave, and at the top - “A” of the first), sounds bright and deep, rich in overtones and at the same time has gentle timbre. The artist retained the ability to mix timbres, achieving such an unusual quality. Yaroslav Evdokimov sings both in bass-baritone (“Prayer”) and in lyric baritone (“I kiss your palm”) - his voice is even throughout the entire baritone range.
Yaroslav Aleksandrovich has impeccable vocal technique, masters a first-class bel canto vocal school, excellent diction, wide breathing, impeccable sound thinning, brilliant top notes (in the best traditions of the Italian school - small breathing, membrane-resonant singing), flexibly conveys emotional nuances and shades - compassion , pain, joke, affection, courage, slyness.
At one time, the artist was compared in terms of the strength of his voice to the unsurpassed Enrico Caruso, [51] experts predicted a career as an opera singer for him, but Yaroslav Aleksandrovich found his own, unusual approach: he performs pop works based on academic vocal techniques, avoiding academicism and any artificiality. At the same time, it comes not from the sound, but from the word, which captivates listeners. Powerful academic vocals with feeling in every word. This style of performance, compared to opera, requires greater detail, filigree and flexibility of nuance, emotional playing of the voice, singing the shades of each word. It is the emotional expressiveness of the singer’s voice that is perhaps the main characteristic of his performing style.
Yaroslav Aleksandrovich Evdokimov found creative independence, originality, a unique manner of performance inherent only to him - and became a personality in the vocal art.
Yaroslav EVDOKIMOV
Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. People's Artist of Belarus. Born in prison - his mother Anastasia Kharitonovna Ocheretovich was repressed. In the post-war years, she served time in Norilsk. In the documentary film “Snow is my destiny” by Igor Shadkhan, Yaroslav’s mother tells in Ukrainian how she gave birth to Yaroslav in prison. Father Alexander Ignatievich Evdokimov, originally from the Perm region, Krasnovyshersky district, was also repressed.
Yaroslav spent his childhood in the village of Koryst, Koretsky district, Rivne region (Ukraine). He was raised in the best traditions of the Ukrainian village, introduced to work from an early age by his grandfather Khariton and grandmother Yarina Ocheretovich, as well as his aunt Ganna, his mother’s sister. The grandfather was a highly qualified blacksmith and from an early age he taught his grandson to help his elders: herd collective farm cattle, and later work as a blacksmith’s assistant. As the artist himself later admitted: “Since childhood, I have absorbed the beauty of Ukrainian nature and admired the rich song culture of the Ukrainian people.”
I saw my mother in 1955, when I was able to come to my native village. Mom took her son to Norilsk. There Yaroslav graduated from music school. In the creative workshop of Rimma Fedorovna Taraskina, Honored Artist of Russia, he began to study vocals.
After graduating from school, he studied at the Koretsky Vocational School, from October 1964. to April 1965 mastered a working specialty.
He served (1965-68) in the KSF (Kola Peninsula), in Severomorsk, in the village of Vidyaevo. Since he was born into a family of repressed people, he was not subject to admission to any warship or submarine, and for all three years Private Evdokimov served in a construction detachment. He was a company singer. Having finished his service, he returned to his native village. Later he moved to Dnepropetrovsk, where he got a job at a tire factory and accidentally started singing in a restaurant. There, in Dnepropetrovsk, he met his wife and moved to her homeland in Belarus.
Yaroslav Evdokimov was born in Ukraine, but living in Belarus was the time of his formation as a pop artist. It was here that he became famous. Now the singer lives and works in Russia.
One of the features of Evdokimov’s subsequent work was multinationality, since he has close ties with Ukraine, Belarus and Russia. The cultures of these three countries are harmoniously combined in his work.
Recognition in each of these countries contributed to the emergence of a unique allegorical classification, which added a title to the artist’s name: Belarusian nightingale, beautiful “Dreamer”.
Yaroslav dreamed of singing, but the Ukrainian genius had no professional musical education. In 1975, he auditioned at the Minsk Philharmonic, where the concert program “Memory” was being formed, and he, as an exception, was left - since 1975 he has been a soloist-vocalist of the Minsk Philharmonic. An active touring life began.
Evdokimov understood that a vocalist needed a professional school. Entered the Minsk Music College named after. M. Glinka. He combined his musical studies with concert practice: first in the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Belarusian Military District (1977-80), and later as a soloist of the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company of Belarus. I found a vocal teacher, Vladimir Buchel, and took lessons from the maestro for three years.
As part of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Belarusian Military District, the performer participated in the Third All-Union Television Competition “With a Song through Life” (1979), which took place in the Ostankino Concert Studio. This was Y. Evdokimov’s first performance on Central Television. It was in military uniform that he first appeared on television. The song (“Rostan” (in Belarusian) was too high in tessitura and inconvenient for a baritone, so the young soloist was unable to subordinate it to his voice and achieve emotional expressiveness in singing. Evdokimov did not make it to the leader, he was awarded the title of diploma winner, but for art lovers a new name was revealed.
In 1980, the artist took part in a government concert, which was attended by the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus, Pyotr Masherov. Former partisan Masherov was captivated by the song “Field of Memory” by Leonid Zakhlevny and Vladimir Neklyaev, which Yaroslav sang soulfully. The shock of the first person in Belarus was so strong that he ordered that Evdokimov be awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Belarusian SSR.
Evdokimov often had to speak to those in power. One incident stood out to him in particular: “I spoke in front of Brezhnev. I was forced to sing the song “Malaya Zemlya”. It was very difficult for me to sing it, because it is written for a low bass, and I have a baritone. Out of excitement, I even mixed up the verses - I just didn’t have time to learn the words in a day. But no one noticed this. And from the middle of the concert, Brezhnev up and left. He probably just didn’t feel well due to his age.”
Immediately after the military parade on May 9, 1980, on the Central Television of the State Television and Radio of the USSR and the first program of the All-Union Radio performed by Yaroslav Evdokimov, a cycle of songs “Memory” (“Field of Memory”, “Wear Orders”, “Mercy”, “Mercy”) was heard, specially written for him. Song of Victory") by composer Leonid Zakhlevny. The joint work of the Belarusian composer and singer brought them well-deserved success, became a milestone in their work and a noticeable phenomenon in the musical art of Belarus.
Moscow also learned about the talented singer from Minsk. The editor and host of the “Hello, we are looking for talents” program Tatyana Korshilova invited him to her program. The discoverer of young talents, Olga Molchanova from Central Television, invited Evdokimov to the most popular programs in those years, “With a Song Through Life,” “Wider Circle,” and “Sing, Friends!” The artist’s voice began to be heard frequently in All-Union Radio programs.
Yaroslav graduates from the Minsk Music College named after. M. Glinka (1979-81) in vocal class, class of Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Belarus Adam Murzich and becomes a soloist of the Belarusian Republican Radio and Television (1980-90).
At the All-Union Festival “Song of the Year-81” he debuted with the song “My Enchanted” (included in the anthology of songs about Victory in World War II “Letter from ’45”).
A striking episode in his work was his collaboration with the famous composer Igor Luchenok. The song “May Waltz” was first performed at the “Song of the Year-85” festival and received success. “One of the best compositions on a military theme, which was written by a people’s artist based on the words of a front-line poet from Minsk, was first performed in 1985 on “Song of the Year” on Central Television and received stunning success. It was Evdokimov’s performance that was recognized as canonical, although other artists, including Kobzon, took on it.”
Yaroslav Evdokimov’s biography also included a tour to Afghanistan (1986) to visit Soviet soldiers, where he performed the song “Snapshot in the Newspaper,” specially written for this trip.
For his growth in skill, high performing level, and enormous chamber and concert activity, Yaroslav Evdokimov was awarded the honorary title “People’s Artist of the Belarusian SSR” (1987).
The album “Everything Will Come True” (1988) is a debut at the All-Union Recording Studio. Most of the songs from this album were included in the concert film “And While Love Exists on Earth” (1988, director B. Bakhtiyarov).

From the annotation to the record: “There is soulfulness and restraint in the performance, often in their “one-time contrast”, there is a lyrical fullness of the widest range - from pretentious citizenship to gentle humor, there is also such an important thing as the extraordinary appearance of the performer, which includes those qualities which are traditionally associated with nobility and beauty. And therefore, lyricism and masculinity always - directly or indirectly - determine the essence of his art, no matter what genre Evdokimov turns to - professional, folk song or romance."
The singer toured abroad - Italy, Greece, Germany, Norway, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Switzerland, Sweden. He represented Belarusian art in the capital of Iceland - Reykjavik and at the International Folklore Festival in Paris, where one of the French newspapers called him a “superbaritone” for his excellent performance of folk songs.
DREAMER:
The artist worked at the Minsk Concert; in 1990-92, the accompanying group was the musical ensemble “Dzvony” (Kolomaia, Ukraine).
BEHIND THE DANUBE:

Y. Evdokimov has repeatedly performed at the International Arts Festival “Slavic Bazaar” (Vitebsk, Belarus), and was a member of the International Jury of the International Competition of Young Pop Song Performers “Vitebsk-1993”.
In 1994, the CD “Don’t tear your shirt” (1994) was released - a collaboration between the singer and composer Vitaly Okorokov. Inspired by this creative tandem, he refused further cooperation with the composer I. Luchenok, declaring that he was hopelessly outdated for the modern stage.
From an interview with Express Newspaper:
– Yaroslav, don’t be offended, but you have a reputation as a hot-tempered person who can give free rein to his hands. How does this fit in with your faith in God?
– I am an unrestrained person, I react to deliberate meanness instantly and with rage. I thought that over the years this would all pass and become dull, but the struggle with myself was unsuccessful. A person cannot always overcome himself. But thanks to FAITH, I began to work on myself, and I can say that over the past ten years I have become much more restrained.
– What can throw you off balance?
“There are a lot of dishonest people hanging around our profession, outright scoundrels and scoundrels. The singer thinks about creativity, about lofty things, about constantly improving his talent and bringing joy to people. And near-creative people, for the most part, think about how to deceive and rob a creative person. I always ask the Lord that I meet decent people more often. I won’t hide the fact that I’m quite gullible and naive, and I don’t really understand people.
– What do you do when your hands itch?
– If you want to lose your temper, be silent for five minutes, and you will react to this situation differently. And the second rule: if you see that a person is unrestrained and hot-tempered, don’t argue with him at all.
– They say that you are sworn enemies with the famous Belarusian composer Igor Luchenok. Is it true that you even got into a fight?
- Yes, it's true, but I regret it. I didn't have the sense to restrain myself.
HURRICANE:
A new period in the life of Yaroslav Evdokimov begins in 1996: he moved to Moscow. There are much more opportunities for a singer here than in Minsk. The artist did not turn “art into a show” and therefore disappeared from the television screen. But still, from different styles, directions, influences, Y. Evdokimov found exactly what helped him establish himself.
The singer always pays special attention to the lyrics. Collaboration with Anatoly Poperechny, whose poetry is marked by deep psychologism, and composer Alexander Morozov, whose musical works are known to the widest circle of listeners, created a creative union on the Russian stage. The result of this work is the CD “Fantaser” (2002).
Yaroslav Evdokimov does not stop there. As a result of collaboration with composers such as Boris Emelyanov, Vyacheslav Dobrynin, Igor Mateta, Vyacheslav Malezhik and poets - Simon Osiashvili, Larisa Rubalskaya, Victoria Vetrova, new songs appear in the artist’s repertoire, each of which becomes as recognizable as “Beyond the Danube” . The best of them are collected on the discs “I Kiss Your Palm” (2002), “Grand Collection” (2003), “Beyond the White River” (2006).
Since 2009, Yaroslav Evdokimov has been a citizen of the Russian Federation. Performs as a concert performer. In 2012, he recorded the album “Return to Autumn,” which contains the popular Ukrainian song “Two Colors.”
From an interview with Express Newspaper:
– Do you rule out leaving Moscow?
– This question constantly torments me. I lived in Belarus for 15 years, I loved and love Belarus and its people, I was successful there as an artist, but... I subconsciously felt that sooner or later I would leave there. Still, my “navel is buried” in Ukraine, and I am drawn there. I went to Ukraine. I didn't like it either. I have been living in Moscow for 15 years (Note - the interview was conducted in 2009), and I feel that I have become attached to this city. They treat me well here, I have a lot of concerts, I feel calm and comfortable here, and no b…. doesn't get into my soul. And in Ukraine, few people know me.
- What are you talking about?!
- Alas, this is so. About fifteen years ago I had grandiose, sold-out concerts at the Ukraina Palace, but after the collapse of the USSR, no invitations were received. Many officials look: Evdokimov is a Russian surname. And Ukraine has enough of its own singers. That's why I'm not really invited there. And I don’t like democracy like it is now in Ukraine. Democracy is not dirt, garbage and permissiveness, it is order and cleanliness. When I come to Kyiv from Moscow, I feel that I am not in a very civilized state. For example, there are currency exchanges in all countries, but only in very poor third world countries should you be afraid that you will be deceived during the exchange. I, a native Ukrainian who speaks the language of the day, was deceived in the very heart of Kyiv, on Khreshchatyk, for 400 dollars. I went to the grocery store and they cheated me almost twice!
– And how did you react?
– The interlinear text of my reaction should not be published in decent newspapers. In general, I say to Ukrainian deputies - many of them are my school friends: “Why are you guys so dirty? What have you turned the world-famous Khreshchatyk into? It's like Red Square in Moscow or Montmartre in France. And it is constantly dirty, and crowds of drunken outcasts wander around it all day and night. You go to Moscow, Belgorod, Nizhny Novgorod, Minsk, look how clean the cities are!”
– Wow, Minsk is on this list! But they say that at one time you were against Lukashenko.
- It happened. When he decided to run for a second term, I said in an interview that if “father” is elected again, I will renounce the title of People’s Artist of Belarus. Lukashenko was elected, and I was practically removed from television, they stopped inviting me to participate in concerts. There were also threatening phone calls. But now I have reconsidered my attitude towards Lukashenko. Some people love him, some don’t, but the fact is a fact: there is order in the country. The collective farms are working, the fields are planted. A person may not need so much - stability and order. You don't have to live very richly. Many billionaires are unhappy. And to be happy, you need to live neither rich nor poor.
Born in the USSR:

In his native village, he created a museum of Ukrainian life, which is evidence of love for the Motherland, for Ukrainian culture, the traditions of which, as the artist himself believes, should be passed on from generation to generation - to live forever.
The songs of Yaroslav Evdokimov are kind and lyrical, sad and cheerful - dedicated to the brightest and kindest feeling on earth. A person’s entire life passes through them with all experiences and joys. They are filled with folk wisdom, reveal the depth and breadth of the soul, they are characterized by a bright national flavor and an unusually wide variety of genres. Each song performed by Yaroslav Evdokimov is distinguished by its significance and depth of content, artistic perfection - all this makes Russian song an enduring phenomenon in musical culture. The artist’s songwriting most clearly reflects humanity’s eternal aspirations for goodness and beauty. The moral and aesthetic ideals embedded in folk songs have educated many generations of people. Thanks to its exceptional sincerity, sincerity, and truthfulness, the song has the deepest emotional impact on everyone who comes into contact with it.
A deep study of folk songs is one of the conditions for the further development of musical culture. And Yaroslav Evdokimov’s attitude towards folk songs teaches with dignity, but without false pathos, to love one’s Motherland, people, nature, develops musical and poetic taste, and awakens creative abilities. That is why all the songs become absolute hits, and they have their own viewer and listener.

Relationships with family
The first family appeared in the artist’s personal life when he returned from the army. Having married the daughter of the collective farm chairman, the young man realized within seven days that he was in a hurry to start a family. As it turned out, in that hasty marriage a son, Alexey, was born, whom he met only many years later. After divorcing his first wife, Yaroslav married a Belarusian woman, Irina, who gave him a daughter, Galina. It was his wife who advised him to take up singing in Minsk, where the future artist soon left. When the singer decided to leave for Moscow, his wife was afraid to go with him, which became the reason for their divorce. Now he has a beloved woman in his life, but they are not officially married. Despite minor differences, the couple is still together.
The photo shows the wife of Yaroslav Evdokimov, Irina Krapivnitskaya. Still from the program “Let Them Talk.”
His former family lives in Minsk, where the singer sometimes comes. He maintained good relations with his ex-wife and daughter. Daughter Galina is a hairdresser by profession; she has not yet started her own family. He also does not forget his old mother, who lives in Ukraine. In 2013, Evdokimov attended Andrei Malakhov’s program “Let Them Talk,” where his son from his first marriage and his brother on his father’s side, whom the singer had never seen, also came.
Alexey Evdokimov is the singer’s son from his first marriage.
In addition, he learned that he already has grandchildren and even great-grandchildren. Yaroslav Alexandrovich considers himself half Russian and half Ukrainian by nationality. For some time now, Russia has become his second homeland, where he not only lives, but also performs in concerts, being a sought-after performer.

The name of this singer is known to many. A handsome, fit (seemingly ageless) man with a powerful, amazingly beautiful voice. He is capable of both lyrical opera arias and pathetic patriotic songs. With ease and indescribable uniqueness, both sincere folk songs and fashionable modern ones sound beautiful in his performance. But some facts of the singer’s biography are shrouded in mystery (thanks to his secrecy and modesty). And, nevertheless, his personal life is so interesting and amazing that it is worth telling about it. *Childhood and youth of the singer. Yaroslav Evdokimov was born in difficult post-war times. His biography began in the city of Rivne in prison, no matter how strange it may sound. His mother was repressed, despite her pregnancy. And while already in prison, she gave birth to a son in 1946 on November 22.
Yaroslav Evdokimov: photo The boy had to be immediately separated from his mother. His grandfather took him, since his father was also repressed at that time. He began raising his grandson. His mother's sister, Aunt Hanna, helped him. The documentary film “Snow is my destiny” tells the story of the singer’s personal life. His mother speaks in Ukrainian on camera about how Yaroslav was born. The singer’s family then lived in Ukraine, in a small village near the city of Rivne. The film shows photos with little Yaroslav and Aunt Ganna. Times were difficult then. Yaroslav's grandfather was an excellent blacksmith. He passed on his secrets of mastery to his grandson. The boy studied and helped his grandfather in the forge. He also tended cattle and helped in the fields. As a child, the future singer had the opportunity to get acquainted with the rich musical culture of Ukraine. He absorbed the sincerity, breadth of folk songs, and musicality.
Yaroslav Evdokimov - famous singer When the boy was nine years old, his mother was allowed to return home. This meeting was difficult for Yaroslav. He managed to become attached to his grandparents and aunt. And he perceived his mother as a stranger. The boy got scared, ran into the field and cried. She took her son to her, and they now lived together. They had to leave for Norilsk. Mom noticed Yaroslav's musical abilities and sent him to music school. After this, the young man decided to go to school. There he studied vocals with the Honored Artist R.F. Taraskina. *Service in the army and first marriage. Studying at a music school was interrupted by military service. The young man was sent to the navy. Because at that time there was an order: not to allow children of repressed parents to visit military facilities, Yaroslav Evdokimov served in a construction brigade for three years. And, of course, his singing abilities did not go unnoticed there. He was the lead singer and founder of various song festivals among soldiers.
Yaroslav Evdokimov at the concert After returning from the army, the young man did not continue his studies at the music school for unknown reasons. Maybe he just missed his homeland. His biography continued in his native village. There, big changes took place in his personal life. A young, prominent guy began dating a girl, the daughter of the collective farm chairman. After some time, they formalized the marriage. After some time, the newly-made husband suddenly realized that his wife was not at all who he had imagined her to be. He could not survive this mental trauma. And so the young family broke up a month later. Yaroslav simply fled to Dnepropetrovsk. His soul demanded the realization of creative talents. He was unprepared for the difficulties of family life. But Yaroslav did not know that his ex-wife was expecting a son from him. She herself didn’t know then. Perhaps if this nuance had become known, the divorce would not have happened. Later Yaroslav learned about the birth of his son. He began to visit him and pay alimony. *First job and second marriage. In Dnepropetrovsk, Yaroslav Evdokimov sought to realize his singing talents. In a big city it is easier to realize your dream, so it seemed to him. His singing biography began with singing in a restaurant. Many famous artists started this way (Grigory Leps, for example).
Grigory Leps is the inspiration for the singer. But sufficient funds were needed for living. Therefore, the young man got a job at a tire factory. It was good money. In this city, changes awaited his personal life again. He met a beautiful girl from Belarus. Here she completed her internship. They began an affair. Soon the young lovers decided to register their marriage. But the newlyweds had nowhere to live. They rented an apartment, then another. The wife persuaded her husband to go home to her, to Belarus. He really didn't want to, but in the end he agreed.
*Yaroslav Evdokimov and his choice. As it turned out, creative recognition awaited him in the region of the Polesie forests. The singer received his nickname “Belarusian nightingale” there. At first it was a little difficult. The young man could not find a suitable job, and he had to feed his wife and newborn daughter. The restaurant had no openings for singers. They didn’t want to take him to the Philharmonic because he didn’t have a diploma. But he was lucky. He got into the “Memory” concert program, and was left as an exception, only because of his beautiful voice. Then Yaroslav decided to enter the Minsk Music College. school. Studying had to be combined with concerts. First, the singer performed in the Song and Dance Ensemble, and later at the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company of Belarus. *The beginning of the singer’s popularity. At the Philharmonic, Evdokimov was lucky enough to meet the master of Italian bel canto, Professor V.N. Buchel. The young singer took vocal lessons from him.
Yaroslav Evdokimov: photo For the first time, Yaroslav Evdokimov appeared on television while taking part in the competition “With a Song through Life” in 1979. He was dressed in military uniform. But the song was chosen poorly. There was no success. He was given the title of graduate. Success came later, in 1980. At a concert for the government dedicated to Victory Day, Yaroslav Evdokimov performed the touching song “Field of Memory.” The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus (former partisan) Pyotr Masherov liked this heartfelt speech. He even ordered the singer to be given the title of Honored Artist of Belarus. But the creative success in his biography did not end there. The song cycle “Memory” was written for the singer personally. For their performance he received the State Prize.
Yaroslav Evdokimov and his album Soon word of him reached the capital. He was invited to popular television programs: “Hello, we are looking for talents”, “With a song through life”. Evdokimov was offered to be the host of the TV show “Wider Circle”. But, despite the growth of his professional career, failure in his personal life at that time haunted him. His wife refused to move with him to Moscow. Then we had to leave her and her daughter in Belarus. But he still had a photo of his family with him. Now the singer does not blame his wife for making such a decision. But it seems to him that if she truly loved him, she would agree to move. *Peak of fame. The singer’s song by composer M. Yasen to the verses of I. Luchenok “May Waltz” brought simply stunning success! Thanks to her performance, Evdokimov became known throughout the country. She first appeared on the television program “Song of the Year-85”. The front-line poet managed to convey the festive mood of May 1945, the delight of victory. And the composer successfully set the poems to melodic music. Some famous singers (including I. Kobzon) competed to sing this song. But it went to Yaroslav Evdokimov. Literally the next day after the song was broadcast on central television, the singer was already recognized on the streets. The next successfully performed songs were: “The Shore of Youth”, “And While Love Exists on Earth”, “Dreamer”, “Beyond the Danube”, “Well”.
Yaroslav Evdokimov gives concerts. His biography includes missionary trips. In 1986, he went on a risky trip to Afghanistan. There he performed free of charge for our soldiers and officers. For his efforts, the singer was soon awarded the title of People's Artist of Belarus. And later (in 2006) he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Russia. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the singer suddenly disappeared from the screens. Many of his admirers became worried. But already in 1996, Evdokimov again appears on the screens with new songs. He participated in many competitions, was a member of the jury (“Slavic Bazaar”, “Golden Hit”, etc.) The singer has rare modesty. He does not like to talk about his personal life. But in 2021, a photo appeared on the Internet in which he and his common-law wife. *Creative activity. The singer successfully collaborated with composers: A. Morozov, V. Dobrynin and others. He was also excellent at performing folk Ukrainian, Russian, and Belarusian songs. The singer’s unique timbre, wide range, and beautiful overtones add a special charm to the performance of any piece.
The singer successfully collaborated with V. Dobrynin. Someone even compared the talent of Yaroslav Evdokimov with the singing of the Italian tenor Enrico Caruso. But, one can even assume that the singer surpassed this famous singer. Extraordinary originality, beautiful academic vocals, emotional sensitivity of every word, filigree work on sound put Evdokimov at the highest level. Although his biography is replete with many victories, a sense of vanity was never able to capture the singer’s soul. He remains the same modest, open, kind person. TV viewers learned about his personal life and family from the program “Let Them Talk.” It aired on February 12, 2013. His mother came to the shooting and looks great at 90 years old. It becomes clear where the singer got the gift of “eternal youth.” Then the singer’s son Alexey, his first wife, Evdokimov’s brother, and his granddaughters appeared on the screens. The singer, with amazing openness, did not hesitate to talk about his most intimate things. It remains to wish the wonderful artist and decent person with a charming smile and amazing eyes further creative success, health and happiness! https://diwis.ru/yaroslav-evdokimov-biografiya/

Personal life of celebrities.
The biography of the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation and People's Artist of Belarus began in prison, where he was born on November 22, 1946, because at that time his mother, who was repressed with his father, was serving a sentence there, and was raised by his grandparents in a Ukrainian village. When Yaroslav was nine years old, his mother took him, and he went with her to Norilsk. The personal life of Yaroslav Evdokimov changed immediately after he returned to his native village after the army and married the daughter of the collective farm chairman. This marriage fell apart very quickly, despite the fact that the young wife managed to give birth to his son Alexander.
The singer says that he was not then ready for this marriage and, especially, for fatherhood, so, one might say, he ran away from his family to Dnepropetrovsk, where he got a job at a tire factory, and in the evenings he began singing in one of the restaurants. In Dnepropetrovsk, he met his second wife, with whom he later moved to her homeland in Belarus, where his professional singing career began. Having successfully passed the audition at the Minsk Philharmonic, Yaroslav got into the “Memory” concert program, with which he began to tour the country. Later, Evdokimov was accepted into the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Belarusian Military District, thanks to which they learned about him on Moscow television and began to invite him to programs, with their help the singer entered the big stage and gained popularity.

Yaroslav Evdokimov’s personal life was not as successful as his career at that time - his second marriage also broke up. In Belarus, where he managed to become a People's Artist and achieve financial well-being, due to problems with the authorities, all avenues for performing on republican television and radio were blocked for him, there were difficulties with concerts, and Yaroslav Evdokimov decided to move to Moscow. The wife was afraid to leave her homeland and remained in Minsk with their daughter. The singer believes that his wife did not go with him simply because she did not really love him, but he does not hold a grudge against her and is content with what fate sends him.
In the photo - the singer with his common-law wife
Today Yaroslav Evdokimov does not complain about his personal life - he has a beloved woman with whom he has been together for several years, although they are not officially married. The artist does not like to talk about his life outside of creativity, because he does not want his loved ones to be disturbed with questions. He hardly communicates with his daughter Galina, and saw his son from his first marriage for the first time when he was forty-three years old.
